These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website located at goldenhourevents.com.au (the "Website") and the event planning services we provide ("Services"). By accessing our Website or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our Website or Services.
2. Service Description
Golden Hour Events specializes in premium event planning services across Sydney, delivering unforgettable weddings, corporate functions, and private celebrations. Our creative team focuses on elegant styling and seamless coordination. Our Services include, but are not limited to, event planning, coordination, styling, vendor management, and on-site supervision.
3. Client Responsibilities
As a client of Golden Hour Events, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information required for planning your event.
- Respond promptly to communications regarding your event planning process.
- Make all payments according to the payment schedule outlined in your event contract.
- Adhere to event timelines and deadlines as agreed upon in your event planning timeline.
- Comply with all venue policies and regulations for your chosen event location.
4. Bookings and Payments
4.1 Booking Process
All event bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of a signed contract and the required deposit payment. Until these requirements are met, event dates remain available to other clients.
4.2 Deposits
A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total estimated event cost is required to secure your event date. This deposit will be applied to your final balance.
4.3 Payment Schedule
The remaining balance will be due according to the following schedule:
- 30% due midway through the planning process (typically 3 months before event)
- Final 40% due 14 days prior to the event date
4.4 Additional Costs
Any additional services requested after the contract signing will be billed separately and must be paid immediately upon agreement to provide these services.
5. Cancellations and Postponements
5.1 Client Cancellations
If you cancel your event, the following policy applies:
- Cancellation more than 180 days before event: Loss of initial 30% deposit
- Cancellation between 90-180 days before event: 50% of total contract fee
- Cancellation less than 90 days before event: 100% of total contract fee
5.2 Postponements
Event postponements will be accommodated where possible, subject to our availability for the new date. A postponement fee of 10% of the total event cost may apply. All payments made will transfer to the new event date.
5.3 Force Majeure
In the event of circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemic restrictions, civil unrest, or government regulations), we reserve the right to cancel or postpone services. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule or, if rescheduling is not possible, provide a partial refund after deducting costs already incurred.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Event Photography
Golden Hour Events reserves the right to photograph and/or record aspects of your event for portfolio and promotional purposes. By engaging our services, you grant us permission to use these materials in our marketing materials, website, and social media channels. We will always respect the privacy of your guests and use such materials tastefully.
6.2 Credit for Work
We request that photographers or media covering your event credit Golden Hour Events for our design, styling, and planning work when publishing images of the event.
7. Limitation of Liability
While we strive for perfection in every event, Golden Hour Events' liability shall be limited to the amount paid for our services. We are not liable for:
- Performance issues with third-party vendors, though we will advocate on your behalf for resolution of any such issues
- Damage, loss, or injury caused by event participants or guests
- Weather conditions affecting outdoor events
- Changes or cancellations by venues or vendors outside our control
- Any consequential, incidental, or indirect damages
8. Confidentiality
We respect your privacy and will maintain the confidentiality of all client information. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.
